It was over 30 years ago that I met and fell in love with tropical rain forests. What started in Guatemala peaked in a visit to Tambopata National Reserve in Peru 15 years later. Here I met Eduardo Nycander and Kurt Holle, two young men that pioneered the development of ecolodges and a model for ecotourism. They are incredible leaders that had a dream and turned the dream into a viable tool for conservation in Tambopata.
